Janet Burgess is returning to the Lakeside Artists Studio Tour with her stunning enamels. An accomplished life-long artist, Janet has maintained an active exhibition schedule presenting her work in invitational and juried shows/solo and group exhibitions, as well as having been an artist-in-residence, gallery director, art teacher, juror, and panelist. Her work is included in the public collections of Western Carolina University, Sandhills Arts Council, the North Carolina State Department of Human Resources, the Manatee Unitarian Universalist Fellowship and the private Braun Collection in Budapest, Hungary. Stop by to meet Janet and see her beautiful work for yourself.
Amy Hart is a found object metal sculptor who enjoys making things that are inspired by nature… animals, flowers and abstract organic shapes. Because she creates found object art, when Amy is not stopping her car on the side of the road to “re-purpose” an old muffler, you may find her dumpster diving or enjoying day trips to local scrap yards. Amy has been welding and forging iron for over 20 years. Her work can be found in regional galleries and shows, as well as in public art installations around Charlotte.
Rick Luttrell established his ceramic studio on Lake Norman in 2015 following an accomplished 45-year career as a classroom teacher of advanced mathematics. He features a variety of wheel thrown stoneware in a wide selection of natural clay and glaze colors. His favorite forms are bowls, jars, and lidded vessels as well as an extensive line of platters. He enjoys developing different designs, and his artistic work includes hand painted and carved pieces whose variations make each piece an individual work of art. Visit him in his studio to see his unique functional art.
