Karl Dueland

A full-time photographer since 2019, Karl Dueland follows a passion held since a young age. As a balance to his 30+ years in corporate life, photography allows him creative freedom through imagery. Karl resides in Mooresville, NC after many years in the Finger Lakes region of Central New York and has traveled throughout the world capturing images both close to home and in faraway places. Fall foliage, majestic Norwegian fjords, the simplicity of freshly picked grapes or the reality of lived experiences highlight his unique ability to capture moments, naturally.  For Karl, it’s not just being in the beauty of the natural environment but also the artistic challenge of incorporating the essence of the area’s culture into images.

Brenda Kadlecik

Brenda enjoys painting flowers, nature scenes and abstract. Her preferred media are watercolor and acrylic. Her designer eye responds to structure, form, order and certainly color too. She looks for the lines, shape, and color within the surface of her subjects. Brenda then pushes her artwork into an abstracted, but recognizable, play of color, texture, and depth - a fresh, fun, modern take on classic subjects that she enjoys. She plans a little, plays a lot, and lets her instincts lead the way. It is all about the joy of creating!

Denise Nelson

Denise Nelson will once again be sharing her Traditional Oil Paintings, but this year she will introduce her new creations also working with Gourds and Wool Fiber. The gourd is an organic vessel or "canvas" of endless creative possibilities. Denise considers the unique character of each natural gourd and then transforms them into works of art using combinations of sculptural addition, pine needle coiling, carving, pyrography or burning, painting, staining, and polishing. She is equally fascinated by working with soft, tactile, natural wool fiber to “paint” or create 3-D sculptures. Be sure to stop by to see her exquisite new gourd “punkin heads,” elegant gourd vases, small oil paintings and examples of “wool painting” pet portraiture.
